This spring the students and instructor from the Rio Grand Valley Art Studio received a request from the Harlingen Medical Cen-ter Emergency Department. They were asked if they could find the time to paint a wall inside the Emergency Room lobby. “We said yes!” states Mario Leal, the class instructor. Leal expressed his thanks to the parents that devoted their Saturday afternoons to allow the children to volunteer “their time and talents in an effort to make children visiting the hospital feel as comfortable as possible.
