Harlingen - Susan Kerens and Rita Galloway are members of Lambda Eta here in Harlingen, TX, which include roughly 30 members, 19 of which attended the Unifying Project at this year’s 82nd State Convention in McAllen, TX. Since they are part of the local area responsible for the convention, they all had different duties assigned. Rita’s job was to help gather the boxes and keep track of which organization donated them and to keep a running count of dona-tions. There were over 1000 boxes collected filled with goodies to be donated to pediatric floors at local hospitals to occupy a chronically ill child while in the hospital and to enhance the child’s learning. The Treasure Boxes were do-nated by members of the 284 local chapters of DKG throughout the state of Texas.
