Neurology – A new neurologist, Dr. Dario Narro, is providing general neurological care including stroke management, epilepsy management, and Parkinson’s disease management for the patients at Harlingen Medical Center.

While Dr. Narro is new to Harlingen, he is an experienced specialist in the Valley, having been in practice for more than 20 years at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco.

Dr. Narro is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He completed a residency in neurology, as well as an internship in internal medicine, at the University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston.

Dr. Narro graduated from medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center – San Antonio, after earning a bachelor’s degree in biology at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio.

Among other accomplishments, Dr. Narro has been recognized as a “Texas Super Doctor” in Texas Monthly magazine.

Originally from the Valley, Dr. Narro comes from a family of medical professionals. His father, the late Dr. Ramiro Narro, was a longtime family medicine physician in Rio Grande City, while his mother, Maria Celeste Gutierrez Narro, served as a registered pharmacist in Rio Grande City.
